futuresEDGE is a means to share information and ideas about the future and how we as individuals and organisations address it.

I work as a sustainability co-ordinator for a local authority in the north of England and have done so since 1992.

I have recently graduated with an MA in Foresight and Futures Studies from Leeds Metropolitan University. A course that is unique in the UK and specifically tailored to the study of possible, probable and preferable futures.

I have been involved in sustainability policy, practice and education since 1992. I was involved in the work on community planning and local governance as well as in producing the Local Government Associations futures toolkit for local government (http://www.lga.gov.uk) in 02000

I am a member of the UK Futurist Network and an adviser to the Permaculture Association (a sustainable design education and research charity). I am also active in supporting the national Sustainability Practitioners Network (SPN) for people who work in championing and delivering sustainable development.

This site is dedicated to my family and friends and all those who strive to think about and act on humanity's legacy.
